Publishing research at one of the few undergraduate psychology journals
New York University's Integrative Psychology Review (NYU IPR) is one of a small number of research journals built specifically for undergraduate work in psychology. Unlike journals that restrict submissions to conventional subfields, IPR publishes across the discipline, from neurobiological research to psychological profiles of historical figures to behavioral economics.
I served as Editor-in-Chief in 2023, leading a full edition from open call to print, then stayed on as an advisor the following semester to support the incoming editorial team.

As Editor-in-Chief, I led a team of 11 editors through the full editorial process for one edition, managing communication with both editors and authors throughout.

I also worked directly with the supervising faculty advisor to move the journal toward publication, and coordinated with our social media lead on some early marketing and branding efforts.

Every submission was anonymized before review, removing names and identifying details so editors evaluated the work on its own merit. All 11 editors independently read and scored each manuscript against a shared rubric for topic fit, methodology, and writing quality. The editors-in-chief then used that feedback to determine which 7 papers advanced to publication.
